Why did you hire an editor for your book?
Firstly because I knew that I needed someone to proofread my book to check it for grammatical errors, typos, sentence structure and so on. As a writer you never see the obvious mistakes as you are so busy trying to get your thoughts on paper.
But secondly, I also wanted someone who has editorial skills with the ability to read through a train of thought to see if it makes sense and then make suggestions, such as give suggestions on chapter titles and paragraph topics. What was Mildred like to work with?
